The rise
The climb begins in Ilsenburg and immerses you in the idyllic Ilsetal. The gravel path winds along the roaring Ilse, past waterfalls and through dense deciduous forest. A steep climb right next to the river will test your fitness before you can enjoy a short break with a breathtaking view of the Brocken. The following section is characterized by dryness and can make your head explode. After a ride along the hidden Ilse, you finally reach the Brockenstraße. The last few meters to the summit are challenging and breathtaking in two ways.
The farewell
The descent from the Brocken via the old border path is an unforgettable experience for all mountain bikers. The steep, paved path challenges your riding technique and your brakes. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Eckertal dam and the surrounding area.
